A B!-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE CORPORATION TO SNTSR INTO AN AORM=NT WITH
THE HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER COMHXSSION OF ONTARIO FOR RM" POWER, AND TO
AUTHORIZE THE CLERX OF THE CORPORATION TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS ON BEHALF
OF THE CORPORATION WITH USERS OF ELECTRICAL POWER OR ENERGY IN THE SAID
TOWNSHIP.
IMBREM under and by virtue of The Power Commission Act, ReS.O. 1914,
ape 390 and amendments thereto, more particularly Part 11-B thereof,
relative to Rural Power Districts, the Hydro Electric Power Commission
of Ontario may enter into an agreement with the Municipal Corporation
of a Township for the supply and distribution of electrical power and
energy in the Township;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Pickering has applied to
the said Commission for such purposes;
NNACOW THERII+ORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering

le THAT the Corporation approves of the area¦ in the Township laid out
and defined by the said Commission as a rural power district.
2. THAT the Corporation of the Township of Pickering do enter into the
agreement with the Hydro-Eleotrio Power Commission of Ontario for
the supply and distribution of electrical power or energy in the
Township, a copy of which is hereto attached and which forms part of this
this By-Law;
3. THAT the Reeve and Clerk of the Corporation be and they are hereby
authorised and required to execute the •aid agreement on behalf of
the Corporation and to affix the Corporate goal thereto, and to
deliver such agreement, when executed, to the said Commission,
provided that the Corporation receive a counter-part of such agree-
went, executed by the said Commission.
4. THAT the Clerk of the Corporation be and he is hereby authorised
and required to execute all contracts, from time to time, between
the Corporation and users of electrical power or energy in the
Township, which may be approved by the said Commission.
Dated at the Township of Pickering and finally passed this Fourth day
of August, A.D. 1926q
