A'Q TOr7ItCAS the sail 3y-Law has been drily confirmed by the Comity Council
of the County of Ontario and by the Lieutenant Governor in Lmn!cil;

was tendered for sale by the Council of t'.ce said Corporationl of the Town-
ship of P_iclcer-i.nto the owners of the adjacent. lands - the east hale
thereof to William J. Mictwell at the price or sure of ; 100.00 ('.!e bein«
Vie owner of the 'North-east quarter of the aforesaid Int 32), and the
West, 'calf thereof to John Ronson Wilson (owner of the 'Tort!!-west quarter
of Vie aforesaid Lot 33) at the same pr=i_ee, and tha sail owners a ?ree:l
to purchase the said north-half of road allowance at the total price of
'200.00, but asked. that the same be di.vidett between them by conveyin_,
the full width of the north half of the said portion to the said ?,iilliam
J. Michell and the south half thereof to the said John Henson Wilso!l,
hilt at a later date advised the said Council that they had agreed between
themselves that the said William J. Michell should buy and receive a
conveyance of all that part of the said portion of original allowance
for road which oxtenrls from the Duffin's Creek (Whieb crosses the said
allowance) to its northerly limit, containing; four acres, more or less,
and that the said John Benson Wilson should pnrcbase and receive a con-
voyanee of all that part of the sail portion of allowance for roast
which extends from the said Duffin's Creek south to the centre of the
said original allowance for road, containing one acre, more or Less;
and that in consideration of the said Jolin Benson ih.lson allowin.- the
said William J. Michell to have and purchase the Treater part of the
said land, the latter was to pay the full consideration of j200.00 for
both parcels (containing in all five acres, more or less), so that the,
former would receive his portion of one acre, more or less) without
bein•; required to pay any part of the price.
AND WIIERFAS the said agreement between the sai.rl owners bein.- agreeable
to the said Council, the said owners proceeded to take possession of
the said land, the said William J. Michell fencing in with his lands
the portion north of the Duffins' Creek, and the said John Benson Wilson
fencing in with his said lands the part thereof lyin' - south of the said
Creek, and they have now been in peaceable and undi.sturbe<l possession
respectively of their said portions for three years or more;
AND WHEREAS the conveyance of the said lands to the said parties has
not been made until now on account of delay in confirmation of the
aforesaid By-law No. 1152 by the Lieutenant Governor in Council;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering:
THAT upon receipt of the price or sum of Two Hundred Dollars (;,200.00)
the Reeve and Clerk of this Corporation be anti they are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed, for and on behalf of the said Corporation, to
forthwith convey by mood and sufficient Deeds (1) to the said William J.
Michell that part of the north half of the ori.,;i_nal allowance for road
between Lots Numbers 32 and 33 in the Fifth Concession of the Township
of Pickering- which extends from the centre line of fire Duffin's Creek to
the northerly limit of the said road allowance, and (2) to the said John
Benson Wilson that part of the said original allowance for road wff!wich
extends from the centre line of the said Duffin's Creek south to the
centre of the said original allowance for road.

BY-LAW TO AUTHORISE THE CONVEYANCE OF THE NORTH HALF OF THE ORIGINAL
ALWWANCE FOR ROAD BETWEEN LOTS NUMBERS 32 AND 33 IN THE FIFTH CONCESSION
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICIMRING TO THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LANDS.
WHMUS by By-Law No. 1152 of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering
certain original allowances for road and portions of original allowances
for road, including the said North half of the original allowance for
road between Lots Numbers 32 and 33 in the Fifth Concession of the said
Township were stopped up and closed as public highways and their sale
authorised;
ff" the said By-Law has been duly confirmed by the County Council
of the County of Ontario and by the Lieutenant Governor in Council;
AND WHEREAS the above described portion of original allowance for road
was tendered for sale by the council of the said Corporation of the Town-
ship of Pickering to the owners of the adjacent lands - the east half
thereof to William J. Michell at the price or sum of =100.00 (he being
the owner of the North-east quarter of the aforesaid lot 32)0 and the
West half thereof to John Benson Wilson (owner of the North-west quarter
of the aforesaid lot 33) at the saws prioe0 and the said owners agreed
to purchase the said north-half of road allowance at the total price of
020000, but asked that the same be divided between them by conveying
the full width of the north half of the said portion to the said William
J. Michell and the south half thereof to the said John Benson Wilson,
but at a later date advised the said Council that they had agreed between
themselves that the said William J. Michell should buy and receive a
conveyance of all that part of the said portion of original allowance
for road which extends Con the Duffints Creek (Which crosses the said
allowance) to its northerly limit, containing four acres, more or less,
and that the said John Hanson Wilson should purchase and receive a con-
voyanoe of all that part of the said portion of allowance for road
which extends from the said Duffin's Creek south to the contra of the
said original allowance for road, containing one acre, more or less;
and that in consideration of the said John Benson Wilson allowing the
said William J. Michell to have and purchase the greater part of the
said land, the latter was to ay the full consideration of $200.00 for
both parcels (containing in all five acres, more or less), so that the
former would receive his portion of one sore, more or less, without
being required to pay any part of the price.
