THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering at its meetingsheld on the
25th of November and 8th of December, 1970.
WHEREAS by Sect?,-, 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 245
of the Revised Stators- :).`_ Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be ex-rci ed by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 245 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering at these
meetings be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The action of the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering at it,-, rroetin3j held on November 25 and_ Dec. $, 1970
in respect of ea??, r,:c-_mendation contained in the Reports of
the Committees aru'. (-,?a.ch motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by '. ., .`ca.icil of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering at th::-!i:?eting, is hereby adopted and confirmed
as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this
By-law;
2. The Reeve and proper officials of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering are hereby authorized and directed to do
all things necessary to give effect to the action of the
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering referred
to in the precedi.:;.g section hereof;
3. The Reeve and ClrFrl. are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all docun,:Gets necessary in that behalf and to affix
thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the Township of
Pickering.
By-Law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this
