A By-law of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering to
define certain built up areas
and designate a limited rate of
speed at which motor vehicles
may be driven on certain roads
in the Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS Sub-section 1 (b) of Section 59 of The Highway Traffic Act
R.S.O. 1960 provides that no person shall drive a motor vehicle at
a greater rate of speed than thirty miles per hour in a built-up
area;
AND WHEREAS such built up areas are required to be designated and
proper signs displayed showing that such areas are built-up areas;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Pickering enacts as follows:
1. The streets or parts of streets in the Township of Pickering
listed in Schedule "All appended hereto are hereby declared to
be built-up areas.
2. This by-law shall come into effect when the necessary signs
have been erected in accordance with the regulations of the
Highway Traffic Act,
and 388
3. By-laws3325/be and the same are hereby repealed.
