A By-law of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering imposing a special drainage
rate on part N & S j Lot 1 in Concession 4.
'WHEREAS Robert J. and Edwin A. Betson, the owners of
part of N and S I Lot One (1) in the Fourth Concession of
the Township of Pickering, applied to the Council of the
Township of Pickering, under the Tile Drainage Act for a
loan for the purpose of draining said land;
AND WHEREAS Council by Resolution #1$6/70 loaned
Robert J. and Edwin A. Betson the sum of $1,800.00 in total,
to complete the drainage program, to be repaid with
interest by means of the rate hereinafter imposed;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of
the Township of Pickering that an annual rate of $221.94
based on $1,$00.00 is hereby imposed upon such land for a
period of ten (10) years, such rate to be levied and
collected at the same time and manner as other property taxes.
Read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED, this 6th
day of July, 1970.
