A By-law authorizing the execution of
an agreement with Consolidated Sand &
Gravel Company Limited.
WHEREAS Consolidated Sand & Gravel Company Limited, a company
duly incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, and
the Corporation of the Township of Pickering entered into an
agreement in writing dated 22nd day of April, 1965, whereby
inter alia the Corporation granted to Consolidated Sand & Gravel
Company Limited the right of way over part of the Corporation's land
as described in that agreement to continue until January 1st 1975
and Consolidated Sand & Gravel Company Limited granted to the
Corporation a right of first refusal to purchase part of its land
in Lot 15 in the 4th Concession of the Township;
AND WHEREAS the Council by Resolution 47671 agreed to amend
the said agreement and to provide for:-
(a) the release of the Township's right of first refusal on the sale
of lands owned by Consolidated Sand & Gravel Company Limited
situated in Lot 15, Concession 4, to Metropolitan Toronto.
(b) the extension of the right of way across the southerly
50 (fifty) feet of the Township's land granted to Consolidated
Sand & Gravel Company Limited from January 1st 1975 to
April lst 1977.
NOW THEREFORE be it and it is hereby enacted that the Reeve
and Clerk be authorized to execute a Memorandum of Agreement dated the
30th day of November 1971 made between the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering and Consolidated Sand & Gravel Company Limited
in connection with part of Lot 15 in the 4th Concession of
the Township of Pickering.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED in open
Council this 21st day of December 1971.
