being a by-law to authorize proceedings
to be instituted under The Local
Improvement Act, R.S.O. 1960 and amend-
ments thereto pursuant to a recommendation
of the Oshawa-Ontario County District
Health Unit.
WHEREAS it has been recommended by the Oshawa-Ontario
County District Health Unit that watermains be constructed in
certain streets in the Township.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering believes that it is in the public interest
on sanitary grounds that such watermains should be so constructed.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering enacts as follows:-
1. That it is hereby declared that the construction
of watermains in the streets and roads hereinafter described
is necessary and desirable in the public interest on sanitary
grounds.
2. That the Township Engineer, Township Solicitor
and other Township Officials take all necessary steps and
proceedings required to have watermains installed as a local
improvement in the streets and roads described as follows:-
In Pickering Beach Road from the existing main of the Town
of Ajax to a point 2141 north of
Beachview Street (being the north
limit of Registered Plan 392).
In Beachview Street from Pickaing Beach Road to the east
limit of Beachview Street (east
limit of Registered Plan 392).
In Poplar Avenue from Lakeview Street to Beachview Street.
In Seabreeze Road from Poplar Avenue to the east limit of
Seabreeze Road (east limit of
Registered Plan 372).
In Range Line Road from Pickering Beach Road to Shoal
Point Road.

In Lakeview Street from Pickering Beach Road to Shoal Point Road.
In Shoal Point Road from Lakeview Street to Range Line Road.
In Maple Road from Lakeview Street to Range Line Road.
In Ruthel Road from Range Line Road to Seabreeze Road and
In Ebony Street from Poplar Avenue to Maple Road.
This by-law shall not become effective until the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board has been received.
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD time and passed by two-thirds
of all the Members of Council this / a day oqoz?. 1971.
