A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to stop up and
close a part of a road formerly known
as Brock Road.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering proposes to stop up and close as a public
highway a portion of sideline 18 and 19 in Range 3,
Broken Front Concession, more particularly described
as Part 3 and Part 4 as shown on a plan of survey
registered in the Registry Office of the County of
Ontario as Plan 40 R 498, dated March 16th, 1971, as
prepared by Edwards and Gunn, O.L.S.
AND WHEREAS that part of the Brock Road as shown as
Part 3 and Part 4 on Plan 40 R 498 is no longer required
for the purposes of a public road;
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published
once a week for four consecutive weeks and posted up
for one month in six of the most public places in
the immediate neighbourhood of the said public highway
to be closed and the provisions of the Municipal Act
relating to the stopping up of the highways have been
complied with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands as shown as Part 3 and Part 4 on Plan
40 R 498 are hereby stopped up and closed as a
public road.
2. For the purpose of illustration only, a plan
showing that portion of the road closed is
attached as Schedule "A" and shall form part of
this By-law.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED
