By-Law Number
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to authorize
the execution by the Reeve and Clerk
of an Agreement between the Victorian
Order of Nurses and the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS The Homemakers and Nurses Services Act, R.S.O.
1960, Chapter 173 as amended by 1968-1969 Chapter 46 and
regulations thereunder as amended provides that the Council
of a Township may enter into agreement with any organization
that is approved by the minister under which the organization
undertakes to furnish Homemakers or Nurses, or both, for the
purposes of this Act.
AND WHEREAS The Victorian Order of Nurses (South Ontario
County Branch) has agreed to provide Nurses Services under
the said Act.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Township enter into an agreement with the
Victorian Order of Nurses (South Ontario County Branch)
for them to undertake to furnish Nurses Services as
provided under the said Act and Regulations, and that
the Reeve and the Clerk be authorized to sign such
agreement on behalf of the Corporation.
By-Law #3795/70 be and the same is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first, second and third time this !,21 day
