BY-LAW "0. _47 Being a restricted area by-law to
implement the Official Plan of the
Toornship of Pickering in Part of
Lot 22, Concession 1, Townshio of
Pickering.
zIOT `"i'HEREFORS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering, enacts as follows:
SECTION 1: SCHEDULES
Schedules "A". "B" and "C" hereto with notations
and references shown thereon are hereby declared to be part
of this by-law and are described as follows:
Schedule "A" Liverpool-'inch Zoning Nap
Schedule "B" Standards & Provision
Schedule "C" Building; and Structure
Set-Back Provision
SECTION 2: AREA RESTRICTED
The provisions of this by-law shall apply to all
lands enclosed by heavy black line on Schedule "A" hereto.
SECTION 3: GENERAL PROHIBITION
No building or land shall hereafter be used or
occupied, no building or part thereof, shall be erected,
moved or structurally altered extent in conformity with
the provisions of this by-law.
SECTTON 4: DEFINITIONS
"Business & Professional Office" shall mean any buildin"
or part of a building; used for the clerical function of
an enterprise and/or the practice of a profession.
"Restaurant" shall mean a buildingT wherein food and drink
is provided for sale to the general public to be consumed
within the restaurant building on the premises and shall
not include drive-in and take-out ooerations.
"Home Improvement Centre" shall mean a building; wherein building
materials, accessories and hardware are displayed and offered
for sale to the general public.
"Coverage" shall mean that percentage of a property covered
by buildings.
"Landscaped. Ooen Space" shall mean that percentage of a property
not covered by buildings, driveways, parking areas and sidowalks.
"Storey" shall mean that portion of a buildi_n,, (includin"
a haser!ent which is less than 50" below r*roun(j level)
between the surface of any floor and the surface of the
floor, roof deck or ride-e above it. This shall not include
a. cellar or attic.
"Gross Floor Area" shall mean the total floor area of all
floors includin,^, basements.

S',CTION 5: PROVISIOCiS
The performance standards and provisions as set
out on Schedule "5" hereto shall apnly to tine Area

Any person convicted of a breach of any provision
of this By-law shall forfeit and pay, in the discretion of
the convicting Magistrate, a penalty not exceeding (exclusive
of costs) the sum of Three Hundred Dollars (;300.00) for
each offence, recoverable under The Summary Convictions Act.
SECTION 8: EFFECTIVE DA
This By-law shall come into force and take effect
upon being passed by Council subject to the approval of
the Ontario Municioal Board.
