THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
BY-LAW
Being a restricted area by-law to implement
the Official Plan of the Tovrnship of Pickerinr,
in Part of Lots 21 & 22, Concession 1, Township
of Pickering.
1,I01r? TiiEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering; enacts as follows:
SECTION I: SCHEDULES
Schedules "A", "B" and "C" hereto with notations
and references shown thereon are hereby declared to be part
of this by-law and are described as follows:
Schedule "A" Liverpool - Finch Zoning "reap
Schedule "B" Standards & Provisions
Schedules"C" 1 to 7 Building & Structure Set-back
inclusive Provisions
SECTION 2: AREA RESTRICTED
The provisions of this by-law shall apply to all
lands enclosed by heavy black line on Schedule "A" hereto.
SECTION 3: GENERAL PROHIBITION
No building or land shall hereafter be used or
occupied, no building or part thereof, shall be erected,
moved or structurally altered except in conformity with
the provisions of this by-law.
SECTION 4: DEFINITIONS
"Coverage" shall mean the percentage of lot area covered
by all buildings.
"Dwelling" shall mean one or more rooms, occupied or
capable of being occupied as an independent and separate
housekeeping unit containing a separate kitchen and
sanitary facilities.
"Landscaped Open Space" shall mean that percentage of the
lot area not covered by buildings driveways and parking
spaces.
"Residential-Multiple" shall mean a building divided
vertically and or horizontaly into 3 or more dwelling
units, each having independent external entrances at
grade level of the building,
"Private Garage" shall mean an enclosed or partially
enclosed structure for the storage of one or more
vehicles, in which no business, occupation or service
is conducted for profit.
"Storey" shall mean that portion of a building
including a basement which is less than 50o belong
ground level) between the surface of any floor and
the surface of the floor, roof deck or ridge above
it. This shall not include a cellar or attic.

SECTION 5: PROVISIOi1S
The performance standards and nrovisions as set
out, on Schedule "B" hereto shall apply to the Area
restricted by this 3y-law.

Any person convicted of a breach of any provision
of this By-lair shall forfeit and pay, in the discretion of
the convictinE, Magistrate, a penalty not exceeding (exclusive
of costs) the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for
each offence, recoverable under The Summary Convictions Act.
SECTION 8: EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall come into force and take effect
upon being passed by Council subject to the approval of
the Ontario Municipal Board.
