being a by-law to authorize the
Reeve and Clerk to exercise an
option to purchase a 24.688 acre
parcel of land in Lot 18 in Range
3 from William A. McKay and Melba
E. McKay, and a 25.472 acre parcel
from Justine Holdings Limited
WHEREAS the Township of Pickering has an option to purchase
land for industrial purposes from William A. McKay and Melba E. McKay,
which option is dated March 5, 1970.
AND WHEREAS the Township of Pickering has an option to pur-
chase land for industrial purposes from Justine Holdings Limited,
which option is dated September 21, 1970.
AND WHEREAS the Township Council desires to exercise its
rights to purchase a 24.688 and a 25.472 acre parcel of land res-
pectively pursuant to the terms of the said options, and to give the
vendors the required 30 days' written notice of its intention to pur-
chase the said land.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Township Clerk is hereby authorized to notify William
A. McKay and Melba E. McKay that the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering intends to exercise its option to purchase
that part of Lot 18 in Range 3 of the Township of Pickering designated
as PARTS 4 and 5 on a Plan deposited in the Registry Office fot the
Registry Division of the County of Ontario as Plan RD-448, containing
24.688 acres of land, pursuant to the provisions of the option given
to the Township by William A. McKay and Melba E. McKay dated March 5,
1970.
2. The Township Clerk is hereby authorized to notify Justine
Holdings Limited that the Councilof the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering intends to exercise its option to purchase that part
of Lot 18 in Range 3 of the Township of Pickering described in
Schedule "A" hereto annexed containing 25.472 acres of land, pursuant
to the provisions of the option given to the Township by Justine
Holdings Limited dated September 21, 1970.

3. The Reeve and Clark are hereby authorized to complete
the purchases and issue the necessary cheques and execute any
documents required in connection therewith.

SCHEDULE "A"
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of
land and premises situate, lying and being in the Township
of Pickering in the County of Ontario, and being composed of
that part of the east half of Lot 18 in Range 3 of the said
Township described as follows:
PREMISING that all bearings herein are related to
the North 72 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds East of the
northerly limit of said Lot 18; then
COMMENCING at the intersection of a line drawn
17.00 feet perpendicular to and southerly from and parallel
to the northerly limit of said Lot 18 with a line drawn 66.00
feet perpendicular to and measured perpendicular to and
westerly from and parallel to the easterly limit of said Lot 18;
THENCE South 17 degrees
a distance of 1,340.86 feet;

along the last mentioned parallel line, a distance of 581.71
feet more or less to the POINT OF COMMENCEMENT.
