A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to appoint a
Director of Personnel & Supplies.
WHEREAS it is the intention of the Municipal Council to
improve the administration and to keep a firm control over any
expenditures;
AND WHEREAS it was the recommendation of Stevenson & Kellogg
Limited, Management Consultants, that centralized purchasing be
established for all departments;
AND WHEREAS it was the recommendation of the Township Manager
that a position be created to the above-mentioned effect;
AND WHEREAS by Article 352, sub-section 63 of The Municipal Act,
the Council may pass by-laws for appointing such officers as may be
necessary for the purposes of the Corporation.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
of Pickering that:
Mr. Noel C. Marshall is hereby appointed to the position
of Director of Personnel & Supplies, in charge of centralized
purchasing for all departments as an additional task to his
present duties.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open Council
this day of 1972.
