BY-LAW NUMBER -L /
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to establish
community centre at Bay Ridges.
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a
Community Centre in Ontario under the Community Centre
Act, R.S.0 1970, Chapter 73, Section 4(1);
AND WHEREAS it is desired to establish a Community Centre
at Bay Ridges in the Township of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS Block "A„ of Plan M-106 is Township owned
land deeded to the Township by Consolidated Building
Corporation Limited as Park Dedication;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a Community Centre defined presently as a
parkette but which is planned for a playground
area and an outdoor skating rink under the Community
Centres Act, 1970, and the regulations thereunder
be established in Plan M-106, Block „ATM and that
the said Community Centre be known as the Parkham
Crescent Community Centre and further that it be
administrated and maintained as a Community Centre
by the Council in conformity with the Act and
Regulations made thereunder.
2. For purposes of identification and location of this
Park, a sketch of Block "A„ taken from a plan of
survey as prepared by J. W. L. Monaghan, O.L.S.,
is attached as Schedule "All to this by-law.
By-law read a first, second and third time, and PASSED
in open Council, this -.26 day of 0 , 1972.
