BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a by-law to establish a Community
Recreation Centre in the Town of
Pickering.
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of Community
Recreation Centres in Ontario under The Community Recreation
Centres Act, 1974, S.O. 1974, Chapter 80, hereinafter referred
to as "the Act";
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Pickering deem it
desirable to establish, maintain and operate a Community
Recreation Centre in the Claremont area of the Town of
Pickering;
AND WHEREAS the Community Recreation Centre is to be situated
on Part Lot 19, Concession 8, Town of Pickering;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Town of
Pickering -
1. That a Community Recreation Centre, as defined in the
Act, shall be established in the Claremont area of the
Town of Pickering, more particularly on Part Lot 19,
Concession 8, Town of Pickering; and
2. That the Community Recreation Centre shall be maintained
and operated as such by the Council in conformity with
the Act and Regulations made thereunder; and
3. That the said Community Recreation Centre will be called
the "Doctor N.F. Tomlinson Community Recreation Centre".
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open
