THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW 799/78
Being by-law of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering to stop
up a part of Bayview Road and to
authorize the sale of that part
of the said road to abutting
property owners.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section
443 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the council
of any municipality may pass by-laws to stop up, a highway or part
thereof and to sell parts of stopped-up highways;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up that part of Bayview
Road designated as Part 1 on Plan of Reference 40R-4260;
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a week
for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of The Municipal
Act relating to the stopping-up of a highway have been complied
with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are
hereby stopped-up as a public highway.
2. For the purpose of illustration only, a plan showing the
lands described in Schedule "A" and designated as Part 1
on Plan of Reference 40R-4260 is attached hereto as
Schedule "B".
3. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto shall
be offered for sale to the abutting property owners.
4. This by-law shall not take effect until approved by the
Regional Municipality of Durham and registered in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham.
By-law read a first and second time this First day of
May
1978.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this
day of June 1978.

SCHEDULE "A"
All and singular that certain parcel or tract of land or
premises, situate, lying or being in the Town of Pickering
in the Regional Municipality of Durham and being composed
of that part of Bayview Road designated as Part 1 on a plan
of survey of record filed in the Registry Office for the
Registry Division of Durham (No.40) as Number 40R-4260.
