Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted
Area By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the
Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District
Planning Area, Region of Durham, on Part of Lot 22,
Concession 1, in the Town of Pickering.
'„hereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering passed By-law 334/75, amending By-law 3036,
on December 15th, 1975, to permit the development of a
business office on the subject lands, being part of Lot 22,
Concession 1, Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS By-law 334/75 was approved by the Ontario
Municipal Board on May 14th, 1976;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering now deems it desirable to amend By-law 334/75
to permit a restaurant on the subject lands;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Text Amendment
(1) Section 4 of By-law 334/75 is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following:
- "Restaurant" shall mean a building or part of a
building where food is prepared and offered or
kept for retail sale to the public for immediate
consumption on the premises only.
(2) Schedule "B" to By-law 334/75 is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following permitted use:
- Restaurant
2. Effective Date
No part of this By-law shall come into force without
the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board but, subject
to such approval, this By-law shall take effect from the
day of passing hereof:
