HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1222/81THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 1222 181 Being a By-Law to authorize the execution of a Release by the Corporation of the Town of Pickering of Florence May Michell from a Demolition Agreement pertaining to Part Lot 33, Concession 6, Pickering. WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Township of Pickering and Florence May Michell entered into an Agreement dated April 9th, 1969 and registered May 15th, 1969 in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham as Instrument No. 182621; and WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Town of Pickering is the successor to the Corporation of the Township of Pickering; and WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient to release Florence May Michell from the provisions of the said Agreement; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Release, in the form attached hereto as Schedule "A" between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Florence May Michell respecting Part Lot 33, Concession 6, Pickering. SCHEDULE "A" to By-law #1222/81 RELEASE In consideration of the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00) paid to it, receipt of which is hereby by it acknowledged, The Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby releases and forever discharges Florence May Michell, her heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns of and from all claims, demands, dam- ages, actions or causes of action which may have arisen, are arising, or may arise as a result of or in any way related to an Agreement dated April 9th, 1969 and registered on May 15th, 1969 as Instrument No: 182621 between its predecessor The Corporation of the Township of Pickering and the said Florence May Michell concerning the lands more particularly described in Schedule "A" attached hereto. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Corporation of the Town of Pickering has hereunto affixed its corporate seal attested by its properly authorized officers this day of , 1981. SIGNED, SEALED & DELIVERED THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING SCHEDULE "A" ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises, situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering in the Regional Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of, Containing by admeasurement 24 acres and 3/4 of an acre be the same more or less and being composed of the west half of the south quarter of Lot Number 33 in the Sixth Conces- sion of the said Town of Pickering, save and except one- quarter of an acre of the south west corner of the said lands formerly owned and occupied.by Sanford and Mary Doten, which said quarter of an acre is more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the south THENCE North 16 degrees THENCE North 74 degrees THENCE South 16 degrees of said lot; THENCE South 74 degrees mencement, As described in Instrum western angle of said Lot 33; West 101.54 feet; East 107.25 feet; East 101.54 feet to the southern limit West 107.25 feet to the place of com- ant No. 182621.
