BY-LAW NUMBER 1572/82
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend
Restricted Area By-law 2511, as amended,
to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, on Part of Lot 18,
Range 3, Broken Front Concession designated
as Part 1, Plan 40R-1986, in the Town of
Pickering.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
deems it desirable to amend By-law 2511, as amended, to permit
the establishment of a bowling alley in addition to uses
presently permitted on the subject property.
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 2511, as amended, is
therefore deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. BY-LAW 2511
By-law 2511, passed by the Council of the Corporation of the
Township (now Town) of Pickering on the 5th day of October,
1960, and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board on the 3rd
day of January, 1963, and amended from time to time, is hereby
further amended only to the extent necessary to give effect
to the provisions of this By-law.
2. TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 17 of By-law 2511, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the following subsection:
17.4.2 Part Lot 18, Range 3 Broken Front Concession designated
as Part 1, Plan 40R-1986
(1)
In addition to the provisions of Section 17.1
hereof, the lands designated "M2" on Schedule
to By-law 1572/82 may be used for the purpose
of a Bowling Alley.
(2)
If these lands or any part of these lands are
used for a Bowling Alley, then for the purpose
of compliance with Section 5.21 (off-street
parking) a bowling alley shall be considered to
be an industrial use.

3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof,
subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, if
required.
