BY-LAW NO. 1770/83
Being a by-law to stop up part of Dixie Road.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 298(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the council of any municipality may pass by-laws to stop up a
highway or parts thereof; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up that portion of Dixie Road described in
Schedule "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a week for four consecutive
weeks and the provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the stopping up of a high-
way have been complied with;
NOW TflEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto are hereby stopped up as public
highway (Dixie Road).
This by-law shall not take effect until registered in the Registry Office for the
Registry Division of Durham.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 19th day of December , 1983.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of January
1984.

SCHEDULE "A"
ALL AND SINGULAR that~ certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying
and being in the Town of Picketing in the Regional Municipality of Durham and Prov-
ince of Ontario and being composed of,
FIRSTLY, a 50 foot triangle abutting the road allowance between Lots 24 and 25,
Concession 1, dedicated by Plan 489;
SECONDLY, part of Lot 25, Concession 1; and
THIRDLY, part of the road allowance between Lots 24 and 25, Concession 1,
ALL OF WHICH is now designated as Part 1 on a plan of survey of reference deposi-
ted in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan
40R-7794.
