BY-LAW NUMBER 1725/83
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend
Restricted Area By-law 3037, as amended
to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, in Part of Lot 17,
Concession 8.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering deems it desirable to allow the creation of
two (2) additional building lots for the development
of single-family detached dwellings.
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 3037 is deemed necessary:
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule "I" attached hereto with notations and references
shown is hereby declared to be part of this By-law.

SCHEDULE AMENDMENT
Zoning Map Schedules'B' and 'C' to By-law 3037 are hereby
amended by changing the zone symbol as it applies to
lands indicated on Schedule "I" to this By-law from
'A' Rural Agricultural to 'R5' Village Residential.
TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 8.3 of By-law 3037, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding thereto the following section:
8.3.2 Part Lot 17, Concession 8
Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection 8.2.1, the
minimum lot frontage for the lands shaded on Schedule
"I" to By-law 1725/83 shall be 19.5 metres where the
use of the lands is for one-family detached dwellings
only.
EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing
hereof, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal
Board, if required.
