HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2298/86THE CORPORATION OF THE TOP/N OF PICKERING BY-LAP/ NUMBER 2298/86 Being a Zoning By-law to amend By-law 1810/84, which amended Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham, in Part of Lot 29, Range 3, B.F.C. in the Town of Pickering. (A 5/86) WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering passed By-law 1810/84, amending By-law 3036 to permit the development of a mixed industrial/commercial building to occur on the subject lands being Part of Lot 29, Range 3, B.F.C. in the Town of Pickering; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering now deems it desirable to amend By-law 1810/84, to permit a vehicle accessory installation shop to be allowed as a permitted use and to permit a site specific parking standard, to be established on the subject property; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. TEXT AMENDMENT (i) Section 4 of By-law 1810/84 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following clauses: (lOa) "PARKING SPACE" shall mean a useable and accessible area of not less than 1S.9S square metres for the temporary parking of vehicles, but shall not include any portion of a parking aisle or driveway; (2) (3) (14a) "VEHICLE ACCESSORY INSTALLATION SHOP" shall mean an establiihment where accessory motor vehicle components such as vehicle air conditioners, stereos or sun roofs are installed; Section 5(1)(a) of By-law 1810/84 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following subclause: (xv) vehicle accessory installation shop Paragraph B of section 5(1)(b)(ix) of By-law 1810/84 is hereby revoked and the following substituted therefor: B Sales outlets are permitted uses only if accessory to food preparation plants, light manufacturing plants, warehouses or vehicle accessory installation shops, and providing the gross floor area of the sales outlet does not exceed 20% of the gross floor area of the food preparation plant, light manufacturing plant, warehouse or vehicle accessory installation shop. continued (:4.) Section S(1)(b) of By-law 1810/84 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following subclause: PARKING REQUIREMENTS: there shall be provided on the subject lands a minimum of 3.5 parking spaces for each 93 square metres or part thereof gross leasable floor area. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof, subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
