BY-LAWNUMBER 2166/86
Being a by-law respecting remuneration
for M~nbers of Council
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 238.1 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980,
c. 302, as amended, the council may pass by-laws for paying remuneration to the
mem%bers of Council; and
WHEREAS, by By-law 2040/85, enacted June 3, 1985, the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Picketing established the re~uneration to be paid to members of Council
for the year 1985; and
WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to establish the remuneration to be paid to members
of Council for the year 1986;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS as
follows:
The remuneration payable to the Mayor shall be $26,000.00 per annum or
$200.00 per meeting for the period December 1, 1985 to November 30, 1986
(inclusive)
The r~uneration payable to a Councillor shall be $11,700.00 per annum or
$100.00 per meeting for the period December 1, 1985 to November 30, 1986
(inclusive)

This by-law shall be effective from Dec~]lber 1, 1985.
By-law Number 2040/85 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 3rd day of March,
1986.
