BY-LAW NUMBER 3563/90
Being a by-law to amend By-law 247/75
prohibiting and regulating the
discharge of guns, etc. within the
Town of Pickering.
Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickerin9
enacted By-law Number 247/75 on June 2, 1975 to prohibit and
regulate the discharge of guns, etc. within the Town of Pickerin9;
and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend this By-law to permit the
discharge of tranquilizing guns by Animal Control Officers;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 2 of By-law Number 247/75 is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following:
(d) A person who is employed as an Animal Control Officer may
discharge any firearm that is used to tranquilize or
restrain an animal.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
first day of October, 1990.
