Re: C~,,{ssion Renumeration a~d Expenses By-Law
Please be advised that the Commission has undertaken its annual review of the
remuneration for Commissioners, and has approved Resolution 1077/89 (copy
enclosed) setting out the renumeration and expense provisions.
Since the approval of Council is required for these provisions as provided for by
statute, please sutmnit this resolution in by-law form to Council for its
consideration. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

PICKERING HYDRO-ELECTRIC COMMISSION

· BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. ~e salaries of the members of the Picketing Hydro Electric
C~,,i~Lssion for the period from December 1, 1989 to November 30,
1990, be set as follows:
(a) Chairman ............................ $3,100.00 per annum
(b) Commissioner ........................ $2,800.00 per annum
2. That the following expense provisions apply to special meetings,
seminars and conferences other than the regularly scheduled monthly
Commission Meetings:
(a) $50.00 per day for each day or part thereof for which a member
attends additional meetings;
(b) Expenses and allowances for extra meetings in accordance with
the General Conference Expense Policy Guidelines.
(c) That this resolution be submitted to the Council of the Town of
Pickering for approval; and
THAT Resolution 942/88 be hereby superseded.

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER 3369/90
Being a by-law to fix the salaries of the
Commissioners of the Pickering Hydro-Electric
Commission for the period commencing December
1989 and expiring on November 30, 1990
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 4311) of the Public
Utilities Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 423, the salary of such commissioners
shall from time to time be fixed by the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The salaries of the members of the Pickering Hydro-Electric
Commission for the period expiring with the 30th day of November,
1989 are hereby fixed in the following amounts:
a) Chairman .............................. $3,100 per annum
b) Commissioner .......................... $2,800 per annum
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of section l, each member of the
said Commission shall be paid a further sum of $50.00 per day for
each day in which such member attends a special meeting approved by
the Commission.
3. For the purposes of section 2, the term "special meeting" shall
mean,
a) conventions and seminars,
b) any meeting of a designated committee or subcommittee of
the Commission, and
c) any meeting of the Commission occurring outside the Town
of Pickering other than a regularly scheduled meeting of
the Commission.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED this 22nd
day of January, 1990.
