6. Other Business
Discussion ensued regarding the potential reporting
methods for individuals that have been victim to
anti-Black racism. N. Holland recommended
creating a resource database where individuals can
find assistance. Each taskforce member should
populate the website so the information is available
to the community.
T. Ryce advised that issues can be reported to the
City’s Customer Care Centre. Once the database
has been compiled, it should be shared with front
line staff and the Customer Care staff so they can
familiarize themselves with the available resources.
Based on the feedback that the PABRT is receiving,
the City may look into having a specific line or form
dedicated to address anti-Black racism. The
comment form could be attached to the database.
Discussion ensured regarding the exploration of
creative engagement opportunities within the
community to entice participation.
T. Ryce suggesting solidifying the launch of the
website to align with the distribution of the postcards
while developing an enewsletter, which will provide
T. Ryce to explore the
potential of having a
comment form attached to
the website.
