BY-LAW NO. 3326//89
Being a by-law to give the consent of the Corpo-
ration of the Town of Picketing to the granting of
an easement from M.T.R.C.A. to Metropolitan
Toronto over lands a part of which comprise
Grand Valley Park (Parts 1 and 2, Plan
40R-12294).
WHEREAS pursuant to section 193 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering may pass by-laws respecting
its interest in land required for the purposes of the Corporation;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby consents to the grant-
ing of an easement by the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation
Authority to the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto for the purpose of
allowing Metropolitan Toronto to construct, reconstruct, operate, use,
inspect, repair, maintain and alter a water supply system on Parts 1 and
2, Plan 40R-12294, being lands that are managed by the Town for Park
and Recreational purposes in accordance with an Agreement dated April
17, 1972 between the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Au-
thority and the Corporation of the Township of Pickering (of which the
Corporation of the Town of Picketing is the successor). (Grand Valley
Park)
2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any document or
documents approved by the Town's Solicitor for the purpose of implement-
ing the consent granted under section 1.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 4th day of Decem-
ber, 1989.
