1. Roll Call
The City Clerk certified that all Members of Council were present and participating
electronically in accordance with By-law 7771/20.
2. Disclosure of Interest
Councillor Brenner declared a conflict of interest under the Municipal Conflict of
Interest Act, with respect to Item 3.1, Verbal Update from the Director, Human Resources
regarding Memorandum of Settlement, CUPE Local 129, as he has family members
who are members of CUPE Local 129 and would benefit from collective bargaining.
Councillor Brenner left the electronic meeting during the in-camera discussion of this Item
and did not take part in the vote on this matter in the open session.
3. In Camera Matters

Seconded by Councillor Butt
That Council move into closed session in accordance with the provisions of Section 239
(2) d) of the Municipal Act and Procedural By-law 7665/18, in that the matters to be
discussed relate to labour relations or employee negotiations.

Seconded by Councillor Butt
That Council rise from the closed session.
Carried
Councillor Brenner rejoined the electronic meeting and having previously declared
a conflict of interest, did not take part in the vote on the following matter.
Mayor Ryan stated that during the closed portion of the meeting, Council received
an update from the Director, Human Resources, regarding labour relations as it
relates to a Memorandum of Settlement for CUPE Local 129 .

Seconded by Councillor McLean
That the Memorandum of Settlement, dated November 10, 2020, between The
Corporation of the City of Pickering and the Canadian Union of Public Employees
(CUPE) Local 129, be ratified, and the Director, Human Resources, be authorized
to take the necessary actions.

4. Confirmation By-law
By-law Number 7791/20
Councillor Ashe, seconded by Councillor McLean moved for leave to introduce a by-law
of the City of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of November 16, 2020.
