BY-LAW NUMBER 2688/88
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 2359/87
(Parking)
Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering enacted
By-law Number 2359/87 on January 19, 1987 to provide for the regulating
of parking, standing and stopping on highways or parts of highways under
the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and on
private and municipal property;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
hereby enacts as follows:
1. Sections 14(1) and 14(2) of By-law Number 2359/87, as remade by
By-law Number 2601/87, and hereby revoked and the following is
substituted therefore:
14. PENALTIES
(1) Every person who contravenes any provision of this
by-law other than subsection (2) of section 12, is
guilty of an offence and upon conviction is liable
to a fine of not more than $150.00, exclusive of
costs, recoverable under the provisions of the
Provincial Offences Act.
(2) Every person who contravenes subsection (2) of
section 12 of this by-law is guilty of an offence
and upon conviction, is liable to a fine of not
more than $2,000.00, exclusive of costs,
recoverable under the provisions of the Provincial
Offences Act.
2. This by-law shall take effect on July l, 1988.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 15th
day of February, 1988.
