BY-LAW NO. 5650/00
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as amended by
By-law 1340/81, to implement the Official Plan of the City of Picketing District
Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lot 29, Concession 1, in the City of
Picketing. (A12/97)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Picketing passed By-law 1340/81 to
permit the development of a community central area shopping center;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Picketing deems it desirable to
further amend By-law 3036, as amended by By-law 1340/81, to permit the development of a
seasonal garden centre with associated outdoor storage from April 1 to June 30 of each calendar
year on the subject lands, being Part of Lot 29, Concession 1, City of Picketing;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 3036 as amended, is therefore deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 5. PROVISIONS of By-law 1340/81 is hereby further amended by adding
thereto:
(3) Special Restrictions ("CCA-2")
(a)
Despite any provisions in By-law 3036, as amended by By-law 1340/81, a
portion of the parking area within the "CCA-2" zone designation, may be
used for a maximum 500 square metres of outdoor storage associated with
a garden centre use from April 1 to June 30 of every calendar year.

EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof or the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 3rd day of April, 2000.
