BY-LAW NO. 4077/92
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of part Block
37, Plan 40M-1320, Pickering, the disposition of Part
Lot 10, Plan 228, Pickering, and the execution of the
Transfer/Deed to effect such disposition (557351 Ontario
Limited).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 191(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter
M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing may pass by-laws for acquiring land
required for the purposes of the Corporation and for disposing of land no longer required for those
purposes; and
WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Picketing wishes to acquire from 557351 Ontario Limited
part of Block 37, Plan 40M-1320, Picketing, for storm water management purposes; and
WHEREAS, upon the acquisition of those lands, The Corporation of the Town of Picketing will no
longer require part of Lot 10, Plan 228, Pickering, for such purposes and wishes to dispose thereof to the
abutting owner, being 557351 Ontario Limited, as consideration for the acquisition referred to;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Picketing shall acquire from 557351 Ontario Limited that part
of Block 37, Plan 40M-1320, Picketing, designated as Part 1, Plan 40R- I~r551 , at a purchase
price of nil dollars, for storm water management ptuposes.
2. Upon the acquisition referred to in section 1, The Corporation of the Town of Pickering shall
dispose of that part of Lot 10, Plan 228, Picketing, designated as Part 3, Plan 40R- t4-3 5t , to
the abutting owner, 557351 Ontario Limited, at a sale price of nil dollars, such disposition
being in consideration of the acquisition referred to in section 1.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Transfer, in the form attached hereto
as Schedule A, of that part of Lot 10, Plan 228, Picketing, designated as Part 3, Plan
40R- 14-~.51 , from The Corporation of the Town of Picker'mg to 557351 Ontario Limited to
effect the disposition referred to in section 2.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 4th day of August, 1992.
