HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4293/93 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 4293/93 Being a By-law to adopt Amendment No. 81 to the District Plan for the Town of Picketing (OPA 92-009/P) WHEREAS pursuant to the Planning Act, R,S.O. 1990, chapter P. 13, subsections 17(6) and 21(1), the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing may by By-law adopt amendments to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, being an official plan, and submit them to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for approval; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING FLEREBY ENACTS AS FOI 10WS: 1. Amendment No. 81 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and including the Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted. 2. The Clerk of the Town of Picketing is hereby authorized and directed to submit Amendment No. 81 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for approval. 3. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing hereof. READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED TI-IlS 4th DAY OF August ,1993. TAYLOR Exhibit "A" to By-law AMENDMENT NO. 81 TO THE TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICF PLAN BROCK INDUSTRIAL AREA COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 81 TO THE PICKERING DISTRIC'I' PLAN BROCK INDUSTRIAL AREA COMMUNITY PLAN PURPOSE: The purpose of this amendment is to permit the existing commeroal-recreational facility to remain on the subject lands. LOCATION: The subject lands are approximately 0.8 of a hectare in area and are located on the north s~de of Bayly Street approximately midway between Salk Road and Alliance Road. The lands are generally described as Part of Lots 19 and 20, Concession 1, Town of Picketing. BASIS: The amendment has been determined to be appropriate because a commercial-recreational facility is considered to be suitably located within an industrial area on the subject lands. ACTUAL The Town of Picketing District Plan (Brock Industrial Area AMENDMENT: Community Plan) is hereby amended by: 1. Adding a new Subseclion (c) to Section 2.(b)K., Other Uses. as follows: (c) On the lands located on the north side of BaylyStreet midway between Salk Road and Alliance Road, commercial-recreational uses may be established. 2. Amending Schedule l-A as indicated on Schedule A attached to this Amendment. IMPLEMENTATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan, as amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall apply in regard to this Amendment. INTERPRETATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Picketing District Plan, as amended, regarding the interpretation of the Plan shall apply in regard to this Amendment.
