BY-LAW NO. 4275/93
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of Part Block
B, Plan 175, Pickering (Part 1, Plan 40R-14620)for
public road purposes , the disposition by quit claim of
Part Block E, Plan 272, Pickering (Part 2, Plan
40R-14620) and the execution of that quit claim (Park
Crescent Alignment).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 191 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45,
section 191, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing may pass by-laws for acquiring
lands or interests therein for the purposes of the corporation, and for disposing of lands or interests
therein when no longer required; and
WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Pickering requires that part of Block B, Plan 175,
Pickering, designated as Part 1, Plan 40R-14620, for public road purposes, and no longer requires that
part of Block E, Plan 272, Picketing, designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-14620, or any interest therein, for
any purpose;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering shall acquire, from The Metropolitan Toronto and
Region Conservation Authority (or from such other person or agency as directed by The
Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority), that pan of Block B, Plan 175,
Picketing, designated as Pan 1, Plan 40R-14620, for nominal consideration, for road purposes.
2. The Corporation of the Town of Picketing shall dispose of, by quit claim to The Metropolitan
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, that pan of Block E, Plan 272, Picketing,
designated as Pan 2, Plan 40R-14620, for nominal consideration.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed, in the form attached
hereto as Schedule A, between The Corporation of the Town of Picketing and The
Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, respecting the disposition referred
to in section 2, above.
