BY-LAW NO. 5565/99
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3037, as amended, by
By-law 5464/99 and By-law 5513/99, to implement the Official Plan of the Town
of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lot 20,
Concession 8, in the Town of Pickering. (A 25/99)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering passed By-law 5464/99 on
March 8, 1999, to permit the development of detached dwellings, with the option for garden
suites, on the lands, being Part of Lot 20, Concession 8, in the Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS By-law 5464/99 includes an "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the residential
zoning on the lands, which has the effect of preventing any residential development from
occurring until such time as the owners enter into a development agreement with and to the
satisfaction of the Town, to address all matters of interest to the Town respecting the
development;
AND WHEREAS the owners have now entered into the necessary development agreement with
and to the satisfaction of the Town addressing all of the Town's interests respecting the
development of five residential lots on the subject lands, being Parts 1 to 5, 40R-19239 and part
of Part 5, 40R-18149;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to amending By-law 5464/99, as amended by 5513/99, to
remove the "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the residential zoning on the subject lands is
therefore deemed appropriate;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. SCHEDULE I
Schedule I to By-law 5464/99, as amended by By-law 5513/99, is hereby amended by
removing the "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the "R6-Y' Zone designation on the
subject lands as set out on Schedule I attached hereto.

By-law 3037, as amended by By-law 5464/99, is hereby further amended only to the
extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as set out in Section 1.
above, and as set out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and subject matter not
specifically dealt with in this By-law shall be goverened by the relevant provisions of
By-law 3037, as amended, and by By-law 5464/99, as amended by By-law 5513/99.
EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof.
