HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4470/94 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 4470/94 Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of Part Lot 21, Concession 1, Pickering (Parts 4, 5 and 6, Plan 40R- 15318) for municipal service purposes (walkways). WHEREAS the site plan respecting a proposal by Discovery Place Ltd. to develop a residential development to be located in Lot 21, Concession 1, Pickering, has been approved by the Director of Planning of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter P. 13 section 41; and WHEREAS a condition of that approval involves the conveyance to The Corporation of the Town of Pickering of certain lands for municipal service purposes (walkways); and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 191(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing may pass by-laws for acquiring any land or interest therein for the purposes of the Corporation; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering shall acquire those parts of Lot 21, Concession 1, Picketing, designated as Parts 4, 5 and 6, Plan 40R-15318, at a nominal cost, for the purpose of widening walkways in the Main Central Area. 2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all documentation required to effect the acquisition referred to in section 1 of this By-law.
