Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers
for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #136,
Village At The Pines, 1525 Diefenbaker Court).
WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15, as
amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and
WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are
peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in
and for the Town of Pickering in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law
2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby
authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as DCC #136,

Greg Johnston
Steve Foster
Theresa Canonico
Mike Burger
Aaron Brunelle
John Booker
Lome Graham
b) William Zaraska
Bm Lloyd
2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set om in section
1, and shah not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1.

These appointmems shall expire upon the persons listed in group (a) appointed in
section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4
C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of 1525 Diefenbaker Court, or upon
the persons listed in group (b) appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of
Del Property Management Inc., or whichever shall occur first.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day of May,
1998.
