That Glenanna Road within Plan 40M-2500 be assumed for public use; 2. That the works and services required by the Subdivision Agreement within Plan 40M-2500, which are constructed, installed or located on lands dedicated to, or owned by the City, or on lands lying immediately adjacent thereto, including lands that are subject to easements transferred to the City, be accepted and assumed for maintenance, save and except for Blocks 1 and 6; 3. That Emery Homes Glendale Limited be released from the provisions of the Subdivision Agreement and any amendments thereto relating to Plan 40M-2500, save and except from Blocks 1 and 6; and 4. That the appropriate City of Pickering officials be authorized to take the necessary actions as indicated in this report. Executive Summary: The City entered into a Subdivision Agreement with the above-noted developer for the development of the lands within Plan 40M-2500. As all works and services within this plan have been completed to the satisfaction of City staff, it is appropriate to finalize the assumption of those lands save and except for Blocks 1 and 6. Financial Implications: Not Applicable Discussion: The City entered into a Subdivision Agreement with Emery Homes Glendale Limited for the development of the lands within Plan 40M-2500. As the developer has now completed all of the works and services to the satisfaction of City staff, it is appropriate to: (a) assume the road and the works and services within Plan 40M-2500, save and except for: (i) Block 1 (which has been developed as a townhouse development in accordance with a Site Plan Agreement between the City and Emery Homes Glendale Limited dated October 25, 2012, as amended); and (ii) Block 6 (which is a street widening block owned by the Region), and (b) release Emery Homes Glendale Limited from the provisions of the Subdivision Agreement with the City and any amendments related thereto, as it relates to Blocks 2 to 5 only. By-law No. . /18 Being a by-law to assume Block 5, Plan 40M-2500, Pickering (Glenanna Road) as public highway. Whereas Block 5, Plan 40M-2500 (Glenanna Road) was dedicated as public highway under the jurisdiction of The Corporation of the City of Pickering upon the registration of Plan 40M-2500, Pickering; and Whereas the works and services constructed for the City of Pickering within Block 5, Plan 40M-2500 (Glenanna Road) have now been installed and completed to the satisfaction of the City. Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as follows: 1. Block 5, Plan 40M-2500, Pickering (Glenanna Road) and the works and services within the said Block 5 are hereby assumed for maintenance purposes by the City.
