proposal of Smith and Loveless Company to supply one factory-built,
automatic Sewage Pumping Station at cost of $38,115.00, as spec-
ified in their proposal under date of November 19, 1962, as sub-
mitted by Oliver Lloyd & Associates Limited. CARRIED

presented by the Standing Committee on POLICE, recommending payment
of accounts in the amount of $14,621.82, be adopted. CARRIED
MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Wank, that the report presented
by the Standing Committee on SANITATION, recommending payment of
accounts in the amount of $2,883.10, be adopted. CARRIED
Reeve Scott reported on County Council.
(1) No action was taken on Bay Ridges Ratepayers Association
request for lesser rates of speed on Base Line Road between
Station Road and Liverpool Road.
(2) No action was taken on Brougham Petition to have new Brock
Road by-pass the hamlet, but agreed to extend the Brock Road
through Lot 19 immediately north of Highway 7, where it meets
Highway 7 from the south.
(3) The application of the Township to appoint the County Assessor ~
Assessment Commissioner for the Township was defeated 21 to ~ ~\
It was AGREED that Council members appointed to the various Committees
remain the same for 1963 as were appointed for 1962.

BY-LAW NUMBER 2572 (Third Reading)
The Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2572 to zone the Township of
Pickering south of the Third Concession Line save and except those
areas which have been covered by other zoning by-laws, arises and
reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Wank, moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-Law No. 2572 be adopted, and that the said By-Law
be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED
BY-LAW NUMBER 2745
Mr. Wank, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves for leave to introduce a
By-Law of the Township of Pickering designating through highways in
the Township of Pickering (Friendship and Kirkdene), and that same
now be read a first time.
Mr. Wank, seconded by Mrs. McPherson. moves that By-Law No. 2745
designating through highways in the Township of Pickering be now
read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon.
The Committee of the Whole ar~ses and reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. Wank, seconded by Mr. Deakin, moves that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2745 be adopted. and that the
said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and
Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed
thereto. CARRIED
BY-LAW NUMBER 2746
Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Wank, moves for leave to introduce a
By-Law of the Township of Pickering to amend zoning by-law Number
2511 (O'Brien, R4 to 03), and that same now be read a first time.
Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Greening, moves that By-Law Number 2746
to amend Zoning By-Law Number 2511, be now read a second time. and
that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2746 be adopted, and that the
said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and
Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed

RESOLUTION NUMBER 2747
Mr. Greening, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves for leave to introduce a
By-Law of the Township of Pickering to permit the Corporation to
enter into an Agreement of Sale of certain Township Industrial lands
to Satok Industrial Developments Limited, and that same now be read
a first time.
Mr. Greening, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, moves that By-Law Number
2747 to permit the Corp~ration to enter into an Agreement of Sale
of certain Township Industrial Lands to Satok Industrial Developments
Limited, be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee
of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
