An Emergent Meeting of the Council of the Township of
Picketing was held on~A~ust 22nd~ 19~9, at Eight O'clock
in the evening.
All Members were present, the Reeve in the chair.
MOVED by Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Todd, that a cheque be
issued for the invoice value of plumbing suppiies purchased
from Traders' Plumbing Supplies Company for the Municipal
Building on completion of the work, said cheque to be made
payable to "Fletcher Goudie and Traders' Plumbing Company~jointly.
CARRIED.
On motion, MERBERT H. BURT and his lawyer Mr. W.C.Thomson, were
heard regarding the dog kennel liaense. It was agreed that
further consideration be given the matter by Council.
B~-law Mr. Clare Balsdon, seconded by ~v~r. George Todd, moves for
17~9 leave to introduce a By-law to take over Toynevale Road
and Rougemount Drive in Plan 350 and that same now be read
a first time.
Mr. Clare Balsdon, seconded by Mr. George Todd, moves that
By-law No. 1789 transferring Toynevale Road and Rougemount
Drive in Plan 350 to Township of Picketing, be now read a
second time, and thab~the Council-go into committee ~ the
whole thereon.
Mr. Clare Balsdon, seconded by Mr. George Todd, moves that
~ the~ Repert of~ the- Committee° of the whole on By-law No.1789
~be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a third time
and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same and that
the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED.
By-law Mr. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, moves for leave
1790 to introduce a By-law to extend the Township of Picketing
Regulated Crown Game P~eserve Area for a further five-year
term, and to appoint members of same; and that same now be
read a first time.
Mr. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, moves that By-law
No. 1790 extending the Township of Picketing Regulated Crown
Game Preserve Area for a further five-year term, and appointing
members of same; be now ~ead a second time, and that the
Council go into Committee of the whole thereon.
Mr. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, moves that the
Report of the Committee of the whole on By-law No. 1790 be
adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a third time
and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that
the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED.
By-law Mr. Georg~ Todd, seconded by Mr. E.Frank Disney, moves for
179!. leave to introduce a By-law to alter certain boundaries of
Polling Sub-divisions and to create a new Sub-division, and
that same now be read a first time.
Mr. George Todd,~ seconded by Mr. E.Frank Disney, moves~that
By-law No. 1791 altering certain boundaries of Polling Sub-
divisions, and creating a new Sub-division, be now read a
second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the
whole thereon.
~r. George Todd, seconded by I~r. Milton Burk moves that the
RePort of the Committee of the whole on By-law
No. 1~91 be ad'opted, and that the said By-law be
now read a third time and passed; that the Reeve
and Clerk sig~n the same and that the seal of the
Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED.
MOVED by Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Burk, that the
meeting be adjourned. CARRIED.
