April [~th, 1949.
The MuniCipal Council of the Township of Picketing met on the
Fourth day of April, 19~, at Brougham, pursuant to adjournment.
Ail members present, the Reeve in the chair. The minutes
were pres~ented and on motion of Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Disney,
the minutes were adopted.
Audit Messrs Monteith & Monteith submitted account for year 1948, and
Account requested~an increase of $150.00 f6r auditing General Account in
future.
The following persons, on motion, were~heard :-
(1) Mr. 'Arthur Hatc.h reg,a~ding d~ainage of road opposite.his
property, Con. 4, S.~ lot 21 - Road ,Board to inspect
(2) Mr. 'Zinkie and two others regarding restrictions in East
Rou~e. Council advised them that new Building-By-law
would soon Be ready, and that as soon as the new Provincial
regulations are available,-Council would pass respecting
subTdivision of registered.plans.
(3) C.E~Morley, re Township insurance.~
(4) D.A. Beer: re Township insdrance.
(5) Mr. Bu~t, 'of Kingston Road Gardens, asked for assurance
that his dog kennel license would not be revoked if he
increased number of dogs to possibly 200. Council to
inv~ stigate.
(6) F. 2. Prouse, Building Inspector, stated he had issued
ove~ $150,000, value of permits to March 31st~ 19~, as
compared with $28,000. last year. '
MOVED by '.M~. Todd, Seconded by Mr. Burk, that insurance of fleet
' of trucks be renewed at $2~5.58 with C.E.Morley. CARRIED.
MOVED by Mr. Burk, secohded~b~ Mr. Disney, that'insu~ance of
non-owner.ship cars and trucks be renewed with Mr. Morley for
$30.00. . CARRIED.

br-~de t~ucks be r~newed with C.E.Morley. ~ C~RIED.
Insurance

policy belrenewed with C. E..M°rley' CARRIED.
MOVED. by ~. Burk, seconded by Mr. Balsdon, tha~ garage insurance
be increased from $2,000. to $3,000. at $68.85 for three years
with C. E~ Morley. CARRIED:
~OVED by Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Balsdon, that ~Road Liability
Insur~ce be renewed by D.A. Beer. CARRIED.
fMo0r~ by Mr Todd, seconded by Mr. Burk, that Treasurer's Bond
12,500~ be renewed by D.A.Beer. CARRIED.
. MOVED by Mr. Burk, 'seconded by Mr. Disney, that ~orkmen's Compensa-
tion insurance be renewed with D. A. Beer. CARRIED.
MOVED .by Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Disney, that the fee for audit
by Messrs Monteith & Monteith be increased by $150.00 - that is,
$~00.00 for General Audit and $200.00 for School Audit, commencing
~anuary 1st, 19~9. CARRIED.

By-law respecting setting of fires be advertised. CARRIED.

that this Council do now adjourn, to meet again on May 2nd,.
