MOVED by Mrs. Earle, seconded by Mr. Laycox, that minutes of ;meeting held October 12, 1967, be approved, as amended by change of approval of recorded date, October 12, to September 26. I CARRIED TREASURER ASUZER t Members of the Board expressed disappointment that township treasurer Ron Mitchell had resigned his position, and commended him highly ,q the work f he had done for this Board. ,. MOVED by Hr. Cook, seconded by Mrs,. Earle, that the two coon it members on the Board arran e for a treasurer from the township staff. i CARRIED • L SECRETARY The resignation of the present secretary was considered, and it was agreed that Mr. Noel Marshall, Deputy Clerk, be approached. Kr. Laycox was able to contact Mr. Marshall, who agreed to act as secretary for 196q. L. MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mrs. Earle, that Noel Marshall be appointed secretary of Cie museum board and receive a stipend of $10.00 per meeting. Mrs. R. Cole writes asking why her building has not been; moved. She says water is getting in, a window broken, and suggests chimney hole Li be covered. Secretary to advise Mrs. Cole the building will be moveddas soon as r_ frost settles, and Mr. Miller will cover chiriney. L 2.- Mr. Doug Cummings writes that he will make hinges and latches for log house. He requests full-scale drawings of design chosenby the board. L " Mr. John Rempel to be asked about the design used in theperiod of the log house. LMOVED by Mrs. Earle, seconded by Hr. Parkin, that Mr. Rempel be consulted, and told that the door opens inward. CARRRIED Li 3. Elinor Merrell, New York, advertises antique fabrics. 4. Andrew Glen loans copy of The Formative Years, " published by Imperial LOil Review, July, 1967. Mrs. Hay advises she has a permanent copy of above book for museum. L General Business and Centennial Project 1 hr. Miller authorized to have Mr. Davidson install church windows. CMr. Miller explained need for cement to hold boiler and building. i L MOVED by Mr. Cook, seconded by Mr. Parkin, that this concrete work be proceeded with as quickly as possible. f CARRIED AGll.7ED that existing gate be used until the entrance building is erected. L 1 Mr. Hiller advised that a stump fence had been offered the museum. (Jim Griffin) AGREED that donor be asked to push them out and try to arrange a way to L transport them to museum. Dedication of plaque for Mr. Irwin's house on November 25, 1967. Invitation Llist to be compiled. Suggestion that W. G. Neuman, M.P., Harry and Tom Newman, and wives be Linvited to dedication. L a i Li _ 3 _ ' Mr. Milton Parkin advised that he had the bell and belfry from 1 Kinsale School (donated to museum) in his barn. L MOVED by Hr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Cook, that Mr. Parkin submit a bill for the bell. C .IthIMD A discussion of buildings to be moved to museum ensued, and it jwas agreed that L it would not be feasible until ground is hardened by frost. I r Mr. Hiller advised that order for 500 1877 macs had been cancelled. Dr. George H. W. Lucas, 217 Sheldrake i3lvd., Toronto, 433-2103, wishes to donate two wreaths (one feather) to museum.
