HomeMy WebLinkAboutDecember 14, 1981 (Special) 23/81 - 109 - SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING Pursuant to By-law 3714 (Procedural By-law), this Special Meeting was called to ratify the recommendation of the Executive Committee made at its regular meeting of December 14, 1981. PRESENT: Mayor J. Anderson COUNCILLORS: Byers Cahill Coburn Fisher Stoner ALSO PRESENT: N. C. Marshall - Town Manager B. Taylor - Town Clerk ABSENT Councillor Robertson - attended Crippled Children's Christmas Party. (I) RESOLUTIONS Resolution #100/81 - See Appendix #1 Moved by Councillor Cahill Seconded by Councillor Byers To adopt the Report of the Executive Committee dated Dec- ember 14, 1981. CARRIED - 110 - 23/81 (II) BY-LAWS Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Stoner moved for leave to introduce By-laws of the Town of Pickering: By-law Number 1412/81 Being a by-law to amend By-law 740/77 respecting plumbing works within the Town of Pickering. By-law Number 1413/81 Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a Development Agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and Frank, Leo and Mario Calvelli respecting Part Lot 33, Range 3, B.F.C., Pickering (LD 202/80) THIRD READING Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Stoner moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 1412/81 and 1413/81 be adopted, and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED By-laws read a first, second and third time and finally passed. (III) ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at the hour of 7:42 P.M. Council of the Town of Pickering and recommends: 1. 1982 ANNUAL HOUSING REVIEW BY THE MINISTRY OF MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS AND HOUSING FILE NUMBER - B 1000 ,------- !..:. That the 1982 Annual Housing Review for the Town of Pickering be submitted to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing; .oif.. and that the Planning staff be directed to secure the Minister's approval to the Housing Policy Statement adopted by Council in 1978. 2. BRAMALEA SALES TRAILER AND SIGNS - PLAN M-1227 FILE NUMBER - B 2310 That the request of Bramalea Limited to erect its sales trailer on Lot 66, Plan M-1227 and to erect two marketing signs approximately six feet by eight feet in size on Lots 8 and 15, Plan M-1227 be approved subject to Bramalea Limited providing adequate off street parking for the sales trailer in the event that such is requested by the area residents.
