By-law No. 7493/16
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning)
By-law 3037, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of
the City of Pickering, Region of Durham, Part of Lot 4,
Concession 6, in the City of Pickering (A 07/16)
Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering received an application
to rezone the subject lands being Part of Lot 4, Concession 6, in the City of Pickering to
permit the development of a golf course with associated uses including a clubhouse,
indoor golf simulator facility and maintenance buildings/sheds while rehabilitating and
protecting certain valley areas on the subject lands;
And whereas By-law 7076/10 includes an "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the "A/GC"
Zone, which has the effect of preventing the development of the subject lands until such
time as a Site Plan Agreement and/or a Development Agreement has been executed
and registered to the satisfaction of the City of Pickering, that all the requirements for
the development of the golf course have been complied with, and that appropriate
arrangements have been made to the satisfaction of the Region of Durham and the
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority for the provision of environmental and
engineering requirements;
And whereas the Owner has entered into an appropriate agreement to the City's
satisfaction;
And whereas the Owner has made appropriate arrangements to the satisfaction of the
Region of Durham and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority for the provision of
environmental and engineering requirements;
And whereas an amendment to amending By-law 7076/10, to remove the "(H)" Holding
Symbol preceding the "A/GC" Zone on the subject lands is therefore deemed
appropriate;
Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as
follows:
1. Schedule
Schedule Ito By-law 7076/10, is hereby amended by removing the "(H)" Holding
Symbol preceding the "A/GC" Zone as set out on Schedule I attached hereto.
2. Text Amendment
Section 7. of By-law 7076/10 is hereby repealed.

3. Area Restricted
By-law 3037, as amended by By-law 7076/10, is hereby further amended only to
the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as set out in
Section 2. above, and as set out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and
subject matter not specifically dealt with in this by-law shall be governed by the
relevant provisions of By-law 3037, as amended.
4. Effective Date
This By-law shall come into force in accordance with the provisions of the
Planning Act.
