Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area
By-law 3036, as amended, to implement the Official Plan
of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region
of Durham, in Block AC, Plan M-997 and Part of Lot 22,
Concession 1 (Part 1, Plan 40R-46S3), in the Town of Pick-
ering.

By-law 3036, as amended to implement the Official Plan

THIRD.READING
Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Byers moved that
the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers
1279/81, 1280/81, 1281/81, 1282/81 and 1283/81 be adopted,
and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and
PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

By-laws read a first, second and third time and finally
passed.

1.
Councillor Cahill stated that Council should
again consider the feasibility of studying the
assessment base because it affects the equalization
factors used by the Region.
2.
Councillor Cahill expressed his sorrow for the
death of Mr. Joe Wilks and outlined his contri-
butions to the Town.

By-law Number-1284/81
Councillor Stoner, seconded by Councillor Cahill moved
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering
to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on April 21,
1981, and that same be now read a first, second and third
time and that the same be now finally passed and that the
Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the
Corporation be thereto affixed.
CARRIED

passed.

Whereas, on May 15, 1978, Council passed Res-
olution 57/78, Item 2 of which approved Draft
Plan of Subdivision 18T-78019, subject to cer-
tain conditions, one of which requires that
registration of the plan and construction occur
within 18 months of draft plan approval;
and Whereas, Silvio Tachella is requesting
the Town's consent to an extension of the Minis-
ter of Housing's draft plan approval dated
June 27,1978;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1.
The Town Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to advise the Minister of Housing
for the Province of Ontario that the Town
of Pickering consents to a 1 year exten-
sion (i.e. to June 27, 1982) of the Minist-
er of Housing's approval of Draft Plan
of Subdivision 18T-78019.
Resolution 57/78 is hereby amended by
deleting Condition m) and by substituting
the following therefor:

9.
NOXIOUS WEEDS

That the Council of the Town of Pickering author-
ize the publication of a Public Notice, regard-
ing the destruction of weeds under the pro-
vision of the Weed Control Act of the Province
of Ontario and directs the Regional Weed In-
spectors to cause noxious weeds or weed seeds
to be destroyed in such a manner as they may
deem proper and that the expenses incurred
by the said Weed Inspectors in the discharge
of their duties shall be placed on the Collec-
or's Roll of this municipality against the
respective parcels concerned and that such
amounts shall be collected in the same manner
as taxes under The Municipal Act.

OCCUPATION OF TRAILER

Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Salvagna are
the owners of Part Lot 90, Plan 1051, on the
north side of Bonita Avenue and wish to build
a single family dwelling thereon; and
Whereas, they wish to occupy a trailer on that
site during construction;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Salvagna be permitted
to occupy a trailer on Part Lot 90, Plan
1051, Pickering, on the north side of
Bonita Avenue during the construction
of a dwelling thereon subject to the foll-
owing conditions:

Habitation of the trailer occur only

BROCK NORTH LANDFILL SITE

That a letter be forwarded to the Minister
of the Environment, the Minister of Natural
Resources and Metropolitan Toronto strenuously
objecting to the dumping of leachate into the
natural watercourse at the Brock North Landfill
Site and the overflowing of the leachate lagoon
at the said site;
and that the leachate be directed to the leach-
ate lagoon and not into the natural watercourses.
