Thomson, one of the Group of Seven artists.

Although, Mr. Thomson only resided in the house for a few
months, he feels that it should still be granted a designation.
The house is currently owned by Murray Carson, but leased to a
tenant who may not be in favor of the designation as it would
attract visitors to the property.
Mr. Sabean indicated that he would be willing to assist the
committee in doing further research and acting as liaison with Mr.
Carson.
He noted that there are a number of heritage reports at the
Library as well as a documentary book on the Thomson Family.
C. Celebre thanked Mr. Sabean for his presentation and advised
that the committee would take the request under consideration
and inform him of the decision.
After discussion, it was agreed that the committee should add the
Thomson House designation to the 2015/2016 Committee Work
Plan.
