Grant for the Claremont and District
Community Association for Claremont's
175th Anniversary Heritage Festival
Members of Council unanimously approved a$1,000 grant to the
Claremont and District Community Association to assist the
community with the expenses for hosting a Heritage Days Festival
from September 20 to 22, 2013.
The event kicks off Friday with a corn roast at 5:30 p.m. On
Saturday the day's activities begin at 10 a.m. with the Horses to
Horse Power parade, featuring different modes of transportation
from the past 175 years, opening ceremonies and a tree planting
will be held at 10:45 a.m., with kids' activities, a vendor
marketplace, horse-drawn wagon rides, historic village tours, food
and live entertainment to follow.
