Library Board Designation
Meeting Webcasts The Library Board informed Council that Cathy Grant, Library
Video streaming CEO and Kathy Williams, Director of Public Services have
coverage of Council, successfully completed a 2-year diploma program offered by the
Executive Committee, Southern Ontario Library Service and the University of Waterloo.

Seaton Community Development
Council gave direction to staff to continue representing the City's
interests at the next phase of the Ontario Municipal Board hearing
related to the Seaton Community in central Pickering. The next
phase of the hearing is scheduled to commence on May 27. At
this hearing, various matters related to the development of Seaton
will be considered, including transportation, storm water
management and fiscal impact. At the meeting, Council also
gave direction to staff to continue to work with the Seaton
Landowners on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)to
ensure the development of Seaton does not create a financial
burden on the City. The MOU will be brought forward for
Council's consideration at a later date.
