A Statutory Public Information Meeting was held on Thursday, April 20, 2000 at 7:00
p.m. in the Council Chambers.
PRESENT:

R. Taylor - Planner I
The Manager, Current Operations Division, provided an overview of the requirements of
the Planning Act and the Ontario Municipal Board respecting this meeting and matters
under consideration thereat.
(I) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 6/00
PICKERING SQUARE INC.
LOTS 3 TO 5,PLAN 350
(SOUTHEAST CORNER OF KINGSTON RD. & ROUGEMOUNT DR.)
1. Lynda Taylor, Manager, Current Operations Division, provided an explanation of
the application, as outlined in Information Report#10-00.
2. Fiona Greenwood, 1009 Moorelands Crescent, asked for a definition of a "Place
of Assembly".
(II) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A7/00

PART OF LOTS 5 TO 7,PLAN 230, PART OF LOT 31,RANGE 3, B.F.C.
PARTS 2 & 3, PLAN 40R-16498
(WEST SIDE OF ROSEBANK ROAD, SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 401)
1. Lynda Taylor, Manager, Current Operations Division, provided an explanation of
the application, as outlined in Information Report#08-00.
2. Fiona Greenwood, 1009 Moorelands Crescent, asked if this application has been
approved and if not, when it will be approved and if there will be any further
public meetings. She asked if the bridge on Rosebank Road south of Granite
Court will be upgraded or if it will be able to withstand the additional traffic. She
also asked if there will be environmental impact and traffic studies undertaken.
3. Wayne Cole, representing the applicant, stated that he is proposing to construct a
two story, 20,000 square foot building with a warehouse at grade level and with
exposure from Highway 401. He recognized that the portion of Rosebank Road
south of the subject lands if a fourth class road. The heavy truck traffic will
access the subject lands by Whites Road and Granite Court and not Toynevale
Road and Rosebank Road.
