3.1) Survey
J. Morris provided an update with respect to the Survey. She
noted the City Solicitor had indicated he would provide his
comments by Monday.
3.2) Spiritual and Religious Care Awareness Proclamation
Request
J. Morris provided an update with respect to following up on the request for a proclamation received from the Ontario Multifaith
Council. She noted she had contacted the Ontario Human
Rights Commission to request further clarification on this
proclamation, as well as other municipalities to inquire whether
or not they had proclaimed this week.
Discussion ensued with respect to the proclamation request.
Due to the lack of a quorum, no decisions or recommendations
could be made. It was decided that due to the time frame
involved, this be returned to the Mayor’s office for a decision. It was suggested further background information be obtained for
future discussion and consideration of this request.
It was suggested this be placed on the June, 2013 agenda for
discussion next year, due to the time frames involved.
3.2) In Your Works Creative Arts Contest
J. Morris noted that all books and posters had gone out to the
schools. She noted the lack of participation from the teachers this year was a bit discouraging, but felt hopeful that this would
not impact the number of entries.
C. Harper questioned whether there were additional posters
she could forward to schools as well as for the library. J. Morris to provide additional posters.
J. Morris noted the same judges would be contacted, and it was
suggested that MP Corneliu Chisu be contacted as well.

6.2) D. Marlowe noted he had been in contact with the Human
Rights Commission with respect to having a delegation out to a
future meeting. He noted the Committee would need to decide on a topic, as they had requested we be specific. It was also
suggested this could possibly be something that could be done
in conjunction with the Accessibility Advisory Committee, such
