and advised that the Chair was absent due to work and associated travelling. 2.0 Approval of Minutes Minutes of the September 18th meeting were approved All New and Unfinished Business
Christian Residence • Jim outlined details on the Christian residence, which is next to the community centre • Used as storage and was in deplorable condition • Owned by the City • 1820’s
home • Gord Willson proposed an activity of stabilization, which was done by the community All

City, which was appreciated by the Whitevale community • Heritage Pickering has studied the building previously • Councillor Johnson to have acknowledged at the next Executive or Council
meeting, the efforts of Heritage Pickering, City staff and the Whitevale Community Association for work completed on October 20th, 2007 to secure this building 395 Whitevale Road Mark
Cryer appeared before the Committee and outlined his heritage permit application. He noted the following: • 1940’s style home • Sympathetic to the area • Adding 600 square feet to the
existing home • Just adding the bedroom and garage • Architectural firm of Taylor Design Group hired for project and they reviewed the Whitevale Heritage District Guidelines A question
and answer period ensued. Comments provided as follows: • Sympathetic to the guidelines • The CBO be be advised that the consensus of the Committee was that the application has been
approved by Heritage Pickering. 615 Whitevale Road Discussion ensued on having a home inspector attend 615 Whitevale Road and provide comments prior to the tenants rent tribunal. There
is money in the budget to provide for consulting/professional fees for heritage purposes. The City Solicitor has confirmed if the tenant allows us on the property, then a home inspection
can be completed on behalf of Heritage Pickering. Moved by Karen Emmink Seconded by Shawna Foxton That the Heritage Pickering Advisory Committee request that the property known as 615
Whitevale Road remain occupied and that this be designated by the Province as a Heritage Debi to action

Discussion ensued on how to maintain property in a liveable status. It was suggested the Committee forward a letter to Del Property Management. The Committee would like to hear from
them with respect to their role and what steps they plan to take in order to preserve the heritage homes which are under the Whitevale Heritage guidelines. The Committee would like to
also invite Joe Dickson, our new MPP to better understand his position with respect to the preservation of the heritage homes. Seaton Land Swap The Committee would like an update with
respect to the Seaton Land Swap including which lands are in questions. It was suggested we invite Tom Melymuk to the next Heritage Pickering meeting to provide this update. Shirley
Curran was appointed as the Heritage Pickering representative on the Seaton NHS Study Group. Gordon Zimmerman advised the Committee of a building that has been redone at 492 Churchwin.
He encouraged the Committee to drive by and see the home. Discussion ensued on the printing of the brochure. It was suggested the Committee move quickly on this. Shawna will send out
the template to Debi in order to get quotes. Two Heritage Pickering plaques can be ordered, as the design has been approved. Debi to action Shawna to action Linda to action. 4.0 Correspondence
There were no items of correspondence. All 5.0 Other Business Altona Mennonite Church • Published in book, Gordon has it if anyone is interested. All

• 3 acre parcel, includes the gas station, etc. its not just the heritage home • No smell of mould was detected Linton House update Gordon Zimmerman provided an update on the Linton
House. It was suggested this be placed on the inventory. There are a large number of barns in north Pickering that are of Heritage value. Gordon suggested that possibly someone may want
to do just the barn. It was suggested this would be a good job for a student. Michelle from Ontario Heritage Trust was introduced and thanked for attending the meeting. Karen provided
